It's always a long process to get ready for camping. This time for 10 days and hopefully no calls back to work. We take 2 vehicles just in case, so I can leave the truck with everything in it. With the drive in and out it would be 4 hours minimum. Leaving the truck means leaving Wendy with food, water, wood, etc. It usually take the better part of 3 evenings to get ready and packed.
Below is a picture of an old boat found in the bush at Sawyers Bay in the park. Not much left. It's amazing the things that can be found at the park. If you bike ride you will miss most of it. Walking is the only way to see it all.

Another long hot weekend at Sleeping Giant Park. We left Wednesday after work and returned Sunday afternoon. It was hot and windy most of the time but we did manage to get out in the boat. I went with John on Thursday morning and we came back with two descent sized bass. Enough for Wendy & I to have lunch Thursday with a little left over to take home. Andy & Kimberly came out Friday and stayed until Sunday. Wendy & I got out fishing Saturday morning but caught nothing. Andy, Kimberly & I went out 3 or 4 times over the weekend and came back empty handed. Saturday morning the three of us took a drive around the lake stopping to checkout the old bus in the bush. We continued to the causeway for lunch and to let the dogs swim. Now it's back to the grind for a month cause we won't be out again until the end of July.
