WOW, we were treated to another sighting of the Pileated Woodpecker. There were two of them going at this tree just a couple hundred feet away. Their heads move so fast its difficult to get a clear picture.
Maybe it's the moisture this year, cause there sure are alot of mushrooms. All shapes, sizes and colours. The middle looks more like a sea creature with spines. It's not soft like most mushrooms. The third is my favorite, I really like the yellow colour.
One of two manual cranks used to lift huge blocks from the dam for controlling water flow from the lake. The dam is part of a bridge that passes over Sibley Creek at the south end of Lake Marie Louise.
I like to wander in the bush and on the trails at Sleeping Giant Provincial Park. There are many things to see and places to explore. A GPS helps me stay on track and get back if I happen to wander too far off the trail. My wife recently purchased a SPOT satellite messenger for me, just in case something happens. So for I've only used it to send OK messages. Have a look around and enjoy. More of my work can be found athttp://www.panoramio.com/user/414504
